MSR Gears Up for Milwaukee Mile Doubleheader

Pataskala, Ohio (Aug. 26, 2026) – Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) returns to oval racing this weekend for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES’ first and only doubleheader of the season at the historic Milwaukee Mile. The back-to-back 250-lap races will provide two opportunities for valuable championship points while putting drivers, crews and equipment to the test over a demanding two-day stretch.

Dating back to 1903, the Milwaukee Mile is one of the most historic venues in American motorsports. With just nine degrees of banking, the 1.015-mile oval drives more like a road course and creates plenty of passing opportunities.

MSR heads to Wisconsin looking to rebound from a challenging weekend on the streets of Washington, D.C. Marcus Armstrong finished 17th after a penalty interrupted a promising run inside the top five, while Felix Rosenqvist was running sixth late in the race before contact with the wall dropped him to 19th.

In May, Rosenqvist won the biggest oval race of them all, the Indianapolis 500. The Swede has 10 career top-ten finishes on ovals, but has yet to break through on the Milwaukee track. Currently eighth in the championship standings, Rosenqvist will pilot the No. 60 SiriusXM Honda featuring country music artist Carly Pearce and The Highway (Ch. 56).

Armstrong has quickly established a strong oval record in just 17 career starts, earning 10 top-ten finishes and a career-best third at Iowa Speedway in 2025. At Milwaukee, the New Zealander qualified third in 2024 and recorded his best finish of 10th last season. Armstrong will return to the No. 66 REMAX Honda for both races.

MSR has collected 23 top-ten finishes on ovals, highlighted by Indianapolis 500 victories in 2021 and 2026. With 500 miles of racing on tap this weekend, the team will look to add to that record while navigating the quick turnaround between Saturday and Sunday’s events.

Qualifying for the Milwaukee Mile doubleheader airs Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET on FS1, followed by the Snap-on Makers 250 at 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX. The weekend concludes Sunday with the Fixers 250 at 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
