Meyer Shank Racing Ready to Race Forward in Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio

Lexington, Ohio (July 4, 2026) – Meyer Shank Racing had a challenging qualifying session on Saturday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, with Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Armstrong set to start Sunday's Honda Indy 200 from 13th and 24th, respectively.

Rosenqvist narrowly missed advancing to the Firestone Fast 12 in the No. 60 SiriusXM Honda, falling just 0.001-seconds short during his Group 1 qualifying run to secure the 13th starting position for Sunday's 90-lap race. Rosenqvist's No. 60 Honda is carrying a special tribute livery honoring Ozzy Osbourne, while also featuring Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society for the Mid-Ohio weekend.

For Armstrong, qualifying came after an uphill battle throughout the weekend. An incident during Friday's opening practice sent the No. 66 Honda into the wall, forcing the team to replace the car's hybrid unit. Unfortunately unable to find much additional pace in Practice 2, the recently re-signed MSR driver was hoping to turn things around in qualifying.

Armstrong, running later in Group 2 as track conditions continued to evolve, was unable to find the pace needed to transfer and will line up 24th on Sunday's starting grid.

With qualifying behind them, Meyer Shank Racing now shifts its focus to race day as the Ohio-based team looks to put on a strong performance in front of its home crowd. The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will air live on FOX beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET, with radio coverage available on SiriusXM Channel 218.

Meyer Shank Racing Driver Quotes:

Felix Rosenqvist: “That was probably the best run I had all weekend. The gap has kind of been the same, around three to four tenths to the leader, and it was quite tight between fourth, fifth and sixth positions. It was definitely close but we were just a little bit too far behind this weekend. We’ll see if we can turn it around in the race.”

Marcus Armstrong: “It was not the qualifying run that I was hoping to have. We started the weekend off on the back foot with the incident yesterday and then we just didn’t have much pace today. Looking forward to doing some work tomorrow.”
