Pataskala, Ohio (June 4, 2026) – Following an up and down weekend in Detroit, Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) heads straight to the short oval of World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR) for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500, the ninth round of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. The 260-lap race on the 1.25-mile oval will air live Sunday, June 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET on FOX, with INDYCAR Radio providing coverage throughout the weekend on SiriusXM channel 218.
Felix Rosenqvist enters the weekend sixth in the championship standings and looking to continue the strong form that has defined his mid-season campaign. The 2026 Indianapolis 500 winner has already captured a victory, pole position, and a runner-up finish this season. Rosenqvist has also demonstrated speed on short ovals throughout his career, including two top-ten finishes at WWTR.
His No. 60 SiriusXM Honda will feature a special Shaggy's Boombastic Radio livery this weekend as MSR teams up with the Grammy Award-winning artist and SiriusXM channel 332 for the Sunday night showdown under the lights.
Marcus Armstrong arrives at World Wide Technology Raceway with strong oval performances in 2026, both in Phoenix (P5) and the Indianapolis 500, where he finished fifth after battling at the front in the closing laps. In only three seasons of oval racing, Armstrong has quietly established himself as one of the series’ strongest short oval racers. In fact, he has five of the nine short oval top-tens since MSR started their full-season INDYCAR campaign in 2020, including a podium in Iowa last year. In just 15 oval starts since 2024, Armstrong has eight top-tens.
Meyer Shank Racing Driver Quotes:
Felix Rosenqvist: “Excited for St. Louis this weekend because we’re coming off some good momentum the last couple of races. Personally, I’m looking for a little breakthrough on short ovals. So, a good result at WWTR would mean we're good on all types of tracks. Ready to keep it rolling!”
Marcus Armstrong: “Definitely, ready to go fast at WWTR. One of my favorite places and I think it’s a really fun race. I hope the new aero package and engine power doesn’t hurt the racing because it was really great last year. But I’m ready to keep honing in my short-oval results and hopefully get another podium.”
