Meyer Shank Racing Qualifies for Pair of Milwaukee Mile Races

Milwaukee, Wisc. (Aug. 29, 2026) – Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) completed qualifying Saturday morning for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES doubleheader at the Milwaukee Mile, with a unique two-lap, single-car qualifying format setting the starting grids for both races of the weekend.

The 25-car field took to the 1.015-mile oval in reverse championship order, with Marcus Armstrong - No. 66 REMAX Honda - going out 11th and Felix Rosenqvist - No. 60 SiriusXM Honda - 18th. Each driver completed two flying laps, with the first lap determining the starting grid for later this afternoon and the second setting the field for Sunday. 

Armstrong qualified P16 for Race 1 after posting a first-lap speed of 161.163 mph in the No. 66 REMAX Honda. His second lap of 162.331mph qualified him in ninth position for Sunday’s race.

Rosenqvist recorded a first-lap speed of 163.183 mph in the No. 60 SiriusXM Honda, qualifying in eighth position for this afternoon’s race. Rosenqvist’s second lap came in at 162.667 mph earning him a P7 starting position for Sunday.

The final starting lineups for Race 1 will be adjusted following qualifying, with five cars set to serve grid penalties for unapproved engine changes.

The Milwaukee weekend marks the first and only doubleheader of the 2026 INDYCAR season, with 250 laps scheduled for both races. MSR enters the weekend with 23 top-ten finishes on ovals, including Rosenqvist’s Indianapolis 500 victory earlier this season.

The Snap-on Makers & Fixers 250 takes the green flag this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX. The Milwaukee Mile doubleheader concludes Sunday with the Snap-On Milwaukee Mile 250 at 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX. INDYCAR Radio will provide live coverage of both races on SiriusXM channel 218.

Felix Rosenqvist: “It was a lot of fun out there and I enjoyed it. Yesterday it was kind of slimy on track, but there’s a lot more grip today. I had to take a little more risk on the first lap and the car felt good. Just a little bit of understeer and I had to back off a bit on my second lap. Big improvement from yesterday and starting hopefully in the top 10 gives us a good shot for tomorrow.” 

Marcus Armstrong: “Felt ok out there and not too bad at all. We weren’t great on the first lap, but the second lap was better. Handling was good. It felt pretty strong, just the numbers on the dash weren’t that great. But that’s ok because the race is a totally different story.”
