Meyer Shank Racing Indianapolis 500 Practice Report: Fast Friday

Indianapolis, Ind. (May 15, 2026) - Day four of Indianapolis 500 practice concluded on Friday evening after morning showers delayed the start of the day. Fast Friday saw all three Meyer Shank Racing machines get several runs of qualifying simulations in with full boost from their Honda powered engines. Felix Rosenqvist topped off the overall charts for the day with a fast lap of 233.372 mph, and rounded out with a sixth overall no tow time. Marcus Armstrong and Helio Castroneves closed out the day 21st and 22nd overall.

Felix Rosenqvist: “Good end of the day, we started out a little slow, but we found some really good tweaks which is kind of rare to do around here. Ended up really good, I think we are among the fastest of the no tow, haven’t really dug through the numbers yet, but it seems pretty sporty.”

Marcus Armstrong - No. 66 Acura Honda

Marcus Armstrong: “The car feels comfortable. I think we made some good improvements over the course of the day. Felix did pretty well at the end of the day so we’ll have to go and see what worked for him. Feeling pretty confident for qualifying tomorrow.”

Helio Castroneves: “Bit of a challenging day. Had someone come out in front of us on that last run there, so we’re not positive about what we have. I think we still need to make a couple of changes to find some speed. But Felix is fast, so we have some good direction to go with.”
