Meyer Shank Racing Finish Ninth and Fourteenth at WWTR

Madison, IL (June 7, 2026) – In a unique race that included 60 laps of caution and two red flags for conditions, Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) comes away with another short oval top-ten. Marcus Armstrong salvaged a P9 in the closing stint at World Wide Technology Raceway, the ninth round and third oval of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. Felix Rosenqvist finished fourteenth.

After strong qualifying efforts and a solid night-practice session, both drivers didn't have the race-pace they had expected. Rosenqvist started P4 in his No. 60 SiriusXM Honda and Amstrong lined up P6 in the No. 66 REMAX Honda, but both cars lost a couple of positions in the first stint while trying to get comfortable. As the strategists and engineers mulled potential strategies, the pit sequences and unlucky yellows continued to shuffle both cars to mid-pack.

On lap 203 and running ninth, Rosenqvist was coming into pit lane for a routine stop when a yellow flag was thrown for conditions and pits were then closed. Thusly, the No. 60 had to give up four positions for emergency service.

After falling a lap down and battling back in the final two stints, Armstrong pit for tires during the last full course caution, allowing him to pass multiple cars on the re-start. His P9 finish marks his sixth short oval top-ten and his fifth top-ten finish of the 2026 season.

Meyer Shank Racing Driver Quotes:

Marcus Armstrong: "A very tricky evening in the office. For most of the race, I didn't feel very fast or comfortable in the car, which was disappointing since we were quick yesterday. But I'm very happy we salvaged a top-ten and some decent points, especially considering the lack of pace and weirdness of the night overall."

Felix Rosenqvist: "We didn't have the pace we expected, but we were trying to stay in the mix. Then I think we, and a lot of people, kind of got screwed back and forth on the yellow and red flags. On the last restart, we decided to take track position versus putting on new tires, and we got kind of swallowed and lost a top-ten finish.
