Meyer Shank Racing Battles Through Unusual Milwaukee Mile Doubleheader

Milwaukee, Wisc. (Aug. 30, 2026) – The rain gods continued to wreak havoc on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES weekend at the Milwaukee Mile, with Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) taking on Race 2 of the doubleheader before Saturday afternoon's Race 1 had even reached the checkered flag.

Saturday’s race was red flagged for rain on Lap 90. After attempts to dry the track were unsuccessful, the remainder was postponed until Sunday morning, but continued rain forced another delay and Race 1 will now resume following Race 2.

With Race 2 remaining on schedule, Rosenqvist took the green flag from seventh, with Armstrong starting behind him in ninth for Sunday’s 250-lap Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250.

The opening stint ran relatively uneventfully for the MSR duo before the first full-course caution came out on Lap 36. Both cars pitted under yellow, with Rosenqvist cycling back into sixth and Armstrong 11th for the restart.

As the race progressed, both cars struggled to find the grip and pace needed to move forward. Armstrong made his second stop on Lap 88, followed by Rosenqvist one lap later, but an issue in pit lane forced Felix to pit a second time about 10 laps later. The additional stop dropped Rosenqvist down the order, while Armstrong continued to battle from the middle of the field.

Both cars eventually fell a lap down as the race moved into its second half. Despite additional cautions and pit stops providing opportunities to regain track position, Armstrong and Rosenqvist were unable to make significant progress over the closing laps. Armstrong crossed the line 16th in the No. 66 REMAX Honda, while Rosenqvist finished 20th in the No. 60 SiriusXM Honda.

Race 1 will continue where it left off on Saturday, with Rosenqvist restarting P2 and Armstrong P12. Race 1 is set for a 5:10pm green flag start with all of the action airing on FS1 and SiriusXM Ch. 218.

Marcus Armstrong: “It was a tricky race and there wasn’t a lot of grip. We were good on the first stint, but the last two stints were really difficult. We were struggling for pace and grip, but the team did a great job and executed well. We’ll just have to see what we can do for the next race.”

Felix Rosenqvist: “We had to make that extra stop, but weren’t really super quick anyway and couldn’t really go anywhere. Definitely need to tune on it going into the race later this afternoon. We still have a good opportunity to make the most out of it.”
