Blomqvist Puts the No. 60 Acura ARX-06 on Pole at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Indianapolis, Ind. (Sept. 19, 2026) – Acura Meyer Shank Racing (Acura MSR) will lead the field to the green flag for Sunday’s TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks after Tom Blomqvist put the No. 60 Acura MSR w/ Curb-Agajanian Acura ARX-06 on pole at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Nick Yelloly will start fifth in the No. 93 Acura MSR w/ Curb-Agajanian Acura ARX-06.

The pole is the first of the season for Blomqvist and co-driver Colin Braun, who have already started from the front row three times this year. Saturday’s result also marks Blomqvist’s eighth career pole with Acura MSR since joining the team in 2022.

In a tight qualifying session, Blomqvist delivered a 1:14.674-second lap to secure the top starting position by three-tenths of a second over the rest of the GTP field.

It marks the second consecutive year that Blomqvist has set the fastest qualifying time at Indianapolis. In 2025, the No. 60 Acura was relegated to the rear of the field following a post-qualifying technical inspection infraction. Despite starting from the back, Blomqvist and Braun charged through the field to finish third in the six-hour event.

Yelloly handled qualifying duties for the No. 93 Acura, posting a 1:15.216-second lap to secure the fifth starting position. Yelloly will share the No. 93 with Renger van der Zande, who brings four previous starts and one podium finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway into Sunday’s six-hour race.

Sunday’s TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks takes the green flag at 3:10 p.m. ET, with flag-to-flag coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. Tom Blomqvist: “It was a tricky session and we didn’t really know what was going to happen with the weather. We had a pretty good buildup to this session and we knew the car had pace. We didn’t change much from practice so we just decided to leave things how they were and rely on myself to get it done. The car was tricky to drive and it really only had one lap in it, and we just hoped it would stick. It’s a great way to come into the last few races of the season with the program going away. It’s small wins like this that are good for the program.”
