(20 September 2025) - Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb-Agajanian (“Acura MSR”) extended its streak for four-consecutive Motul Pole awards, with Tom Blomqvist leading qualifying for Sunday’s TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks. Blomqvist earned his sixth career IMSA pole, but first since 2023, running 1:14.569-seconds in the No. 60 MSR Acura ARX-06 that will be co-driven by Colin Braun. The pole was no surprise after the British-born Swede led both practice sessions at the iconic circuit. Nick Yelloly saw a three-event pole streak come to an end, running sixth with a lap of 1:15.005-seconds in the No. 93 ARX-06 he shares with Renger van der Zande and Kakunoshin “Kaku” Ohta. Yelloly and van der Zande have secured the pole position for the previous three IMSA races in Detroit, Watkins Glen and Road America. Both team Acuras have secured one win so far this season, Yelloly and van der Zande clinched the first win of the season for Acura in Detroit, while Blomqvist and Brun won the last six hour IMSA event at Watkins Glen. The six-hour TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks begins at 11:40 a.m. on Sunday. The final three hours will be televised live on NBC, beginning at 3 p.m. The entire race will be streamed live on Peacock, and will also be broadcast on SiriusXM channel 206. Meyer Shank Racing Team Quotes: Tom Blomqvist: “Fantastic job to the entire team. Pole position is always nice to have and it's very rewarding for the guys who put in the effort to try and give us a fast car. It’s proof that we have a fast car and I’m thankful for that. I was a little bit stressed in that session, just where I was on track and it wasn’t the cleanest; but hey, a pole is a pole and we have to be happy with that. Tomorrow is where we earn the big bucks. We’re in a good position to start and then it’s game on from there.” Nick Yelloly: “Sixth is not where we wanted to be considering where the other car is. I felt like I maximized most of it, I probably had a couple of tenths, but that was it. I need to go back and look at the data to see why that was and share a bit of data with the 60 Acura and see which direction they went. Very happy for Acura and Acura Meyer Shank Racing to get another pole, that’s four in a row for the manufacturer which is great. We’ll make sure we dial in the race car for tomorrow, that’s where the big points are.” Media Contacts: Maddie Komar maddie@sundaymanagement.com Liza Markle liza@sundaymanagement.com [/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
