Acura MSR Set for Second West-Coast Weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

Pataskala, Ohio (April 30, 2026) – Acura Meyer Shank Racing (Acura MSR) heads to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this weekend for Round 4 of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as the series returns to California for the StubHub Monterey Sports Car Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Sunday (4:00pm ET, NBCSN, Peacock, SiriusXM Ch. 218).

Acura MSR enters the weekend carrying strong momentum after Nick Yelloly and Renger van der Zande delivered a commanding, pole-to-checkered victory at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach earlier this month—marking both the team’s and Acura’s first win on the iconic temporary street circuit.

The duo now looks to keep that momentum rolling in the No. 93 Acura ARX-06 this weekend. van der Zande brings a wealth of experience to Laguna Seca with 12 career starts at the famed 2.238-mile natural terrain road course, along with three victories. Yelloly will make his fourth start at Laguna Seca as he chases his first win at the historic circuit.

In the No. 60 Acura ARX-06, Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun will be looking to bounce back after a challenging outing in Long Beach. Blomqvist most recently scored a podium finish at Laguna Seca with Acura MSR in 2022, while Braun has recorded one win and five podium finishes in nine starts at the track.

The StubHub Monterey Sports Car Championship goes green Sunday at 4:00pm ET with flag-to-flag coverage on NBCSN and Peacock. Live radio coverage will also be available all weekend on SiriusXM Channel 218.

Acura Meyer Shank Racing Driver Quotes:

Renger van der Zande: “Laguna Seca has always been a very special place for me. I have had some big moments at the track and we are now coming off a very important Long Beach win with lots of momentum. We are fighting for the Championship and we seem to be better in the game now. Hopefully we can continue that path and get good points if the car is competitive enough to fight.”

Colin Braun: “We are all looking forward to Laguna and building on the sister car’s great result from Long Beach. Laguna is a challenging track itself, and then mixing in multi-class aspect makes it an exciting one! Everyone on the team is heads-down and working hard! Can’t wait to get on track.”
