Acura Meyer Shank Racing Set for Final GTP Race at Petit Le Mans

Pataskala, Ohio (September 29, 2026) – Acura Meyer Shank Racing (Acura MSR) heads to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta this weekend for the 29th Motul Petit Le Mans, the season finale of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The 10-hour race will mark the final event for the Acura MSR GTP program before its pause following the 2026 season.

Acura MSR enters the finale with a strong history at the 2.54-mile, 12-turn Road Atlanta circuit, having earned four Petit Le Mans victories and four poles. The team won back-to-back races in 2022 and 2023, with Tom Blomqvist part of both winning lineups.

Blomqvist and Colin Braun will be joined by six-time INDYCAR champion Scott Dixon in the No. 60 Acura ARX-06. Blomqvist has finished inside the top five in each of his five IMSA starts at Road Atlanta, collecting two wins, three podiums and two poles, including pole for last year’s Petit Le Mans. Braun has seven top-fives in 10 starts at the circuit, while Dixon brings two victories and six podiums in 15 starts. Blomqvist also holds the GTP track record at Road Atlanta, while Braun owns the circuit’s LMP2 track record.

The No. 93 Acura ARX-06 of Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly enters the season finale second in the GTP team championship after scoring six top-five finishes and a victory at Long Beach this season. Five-time INDYCAR champion Alex Palou will join the duo for the 10-hour race, making his first Petit Le Mans appearance and first career start at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Van der Zande is tied for the most Petit Le Mans victories among active drivers with four and has never finished lower than seventh in 12 IMSA starts at Road Atlanta. He has collected seven podiums and nine top-five finishes at the circuit, while Yelloly will make his fourth IMSA start at Road Atlanta.

The addition of Dixon and Palou brings a combined 11 INDYCAR championships to Acura MSR’s endurance lineups as the team looks to close the GTP program with a fifth Petit Le Mans victory.

Qualifying streams live Friday, Oct. 2 at 2:15 p.m. ET on Peacock, with Saturday’s Motul Petit Le Mans taking the green flag at 12:10 p.m. ET. NBC will carry the opening three hours beginning at noon, followed by NBCSN from 3-10:30 p.m., with flag-to-flag coverage on Peacock.
