Acura Meyer Shank Racing Heads to Indianapolis with GTP Championship in Reach

Pataskala, Ohio (September 16, 2026) – Acura Meyer Shank Racing (Acura MSR) heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend for the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks, the penultimate round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The event shifts from an endurance race last season to a two-hour, 40-minute sprint in 2026, with 44 cars set to take on the historic 2.439-mile, 14-turn Indianapolis road course. The race weekend marks the team’s first time back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since winning the Indianapolis 500 in May.
With two races remaining, the No. 93 Acura MSR w/ Curb-Agajanian ARX-06 of Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly heads to Indianapolis second in the GTP team championship, 118 points out of the lead. The duo has six top-five finishes this season, highlighted by a victory in Long Beach, and is coming off a fourth-place finish and pole at Road America.
Yelloly has podium finishes in two of his three IMSA starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, finishing third in 2023 and second in 2024. van der Zande has four starts at the Speedway and also finished third in the Indianapolis 8 Hour driving an Acura NSX GT3.
Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun will look for a breakthrough weekend in the No. 60 Acura MSR w/ Curb-Agajanian ARX-06. The duo finished third at IMS last season after starting from the rear of the GTP field. Braun also owns two Pro-Am victories in the Indianapolis 8 Hour in 2020 and 2023.
MSR is still chasing its first IMSA victory at IMS to match the team’s INDYCAR success at the circuit after winning two Indianapolis 500s in 2021 and 2026.
