Pataskala, Ohio (July 29, 2026) – Acura Meyer Shank Racing (Acura MSR) heads to Road America this weekend for the Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix, as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship takes on the historic Wisconsin circuit. Sunday's six-hour race marks the fourth and penultimate round of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup and will feature a 54-car field around the 4.048-mile, 14-turn road course.
The No. 93 Acura ARX-06 of Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly enters the weekend second in the GTP championship with just three races remaining. The duo is coming off a runner-up finish at Watkins Glen and has recorded five top-five finishes this season, highlighted by a victory at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Road America has been a strong venue for both No. 93 drivers. Yelloly captured the GTP pole last season before the duo finished third, while van der Zande has recorded nine top-five finishes in 12 starts at the circuit, including five podiums and a victory in 2014.
After a couple of disappointing outings, Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun are looking for a successful weekend aboard the No. 60 Acura ARX-06. The duo finished second at Road America in 2023, while Braun brings two victories and five podium finishes at the circuit.
MSR also returns to Road America looking for some redemption after its most recent visit with the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. At the June event, Marcus Armstrong was leading and his first INDYCAR victory was imminent before an engine failure ended his race with under five laps to go. Across both series, MSR is still chasing its first Road America victory and hopes this weekend will finally deliver the breakthrough.
This year's event brings Road America back to its endurance racing roots, exactly 70 years after the circuit last hosted a six-hour race in 1956. The IMSA event has been run as a standard-length sprint race in the modern era, making the expanded six-hour format a new strategic challenge for teams and drivers.
Qualifying for the Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix streams live Saturday, Aug. 1 at 4:20 p.m. ET on Peacock. Sunday's six-hour race takes the green flag at 11:40 a.m. ET, with flag-to-flag coverage beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET on Peacock. Live IMSA Radio coverage can be found on SiriusXM channel 206. International coverage is available through IMSA.tv and IMSA's Official YouTube channel.
Driver Quotes:
Tom Blomqvist (No. 60): "Honestly, it's probably my favorite track on the calendar. I'm so pumped it's going to be a six hour race and it's so fully deserved and always should have been. I'm really excited about this one and our car is strong there. So, we're going into the weekend with the expectation to fight for the victory. Love the race, love the event and love all the fans. Let's go."
Nick Yelloly (No. 93): "Looking forward to getting back to Road America where our car seems to excel. We had a good test there a few weeks ago and felt like we improved the car from last year. Since it's a six hour race this year, strategically there will be a lot more things at play, but also more opportunity to show our pace."
