WATKINS GLEN, NY (17 June 2025) — Acura Meyer Shank Racing (“Acura MSR”) has winning momentum heading to the Watkins Glen International this weekend. The historic track hosts the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, which is Round 6 of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Renger van der Zande and newly-crowned 24 Hours of Le Mans champion Nick Yelloly, drivers of the No. 93 Acura ARX-6, scored Acura MSR’s first triumph of 2025 in the most recent Detroit event, a 100-minute sprint through the streets of Motor City where Yelloly first captured the pole and van der Zande secured the lead with less than four minutes remaining in the race.

Kaku Ohta—a Honda Racing Corporation development driver—will be rejoining the #93 lineup for the WGI endurance event, having made his debut with the team in the Rolex 24 at Daytona back in January.

Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun, drivers of the No. 60, expect a return to form that saw them finish third in the 2023 Sahlen’s Six Hours, Acura MSR’s most recent outing at the circuit.

In 2022, the Blomqvist captured the pole for MSR and the Braun-Blomqvist duo led 78 laps and ran no lower than second en route to a runner-up finish.

Braun himself has solid credentials at WGI. In nine WeatherTech Championship races at the circuit, he has five podiums and  won from the pole in 2014. His WGI credits also include a NASCAR Xfinity race and six Grand-Am races.

For the #93, van der Zande scored back-to-back wins in 2015 and 2016, and has three further podiums, while Yelloly scored a victory in 2023. MSR also dominated the GTD class in the Acura NSX GT3 in 2017 and 2019 class victories.

The Glen event is also the third round of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, following the two Florida endurance classics at Daytona and Sebring. Braun and Blomqvist are second in the standings with 23 points – eight points behind the leaders – while van der Zande and Yelloly are fifth, another seven points behind.

Practice for the Sahlen’s Six Hours begins with a 90-minute session on Friday at 11:25 a.m. (all times ET). GTP qualifying is set for Saturday at 3:35 p.m with live coverage on Peacock starting at 2:15pm.

Sunday’s race broadcast starts at 12:00 p.m. on NBC, as well as IMSA TV Live and IMSA YouTube outside the U.S. The opening three hours of the race will be covered live on NBC, and the entirety of the six hours streamed flag-to-flag on Peacock.

All live IMSA radio coverage can also be accessed on SiriusXM channel 206.

Meyer Shank Racing Team Quotes:

Nick Yelloly: “I’ve got great Detroit memories and had quite a lot of victories on the Belle Isle circuit. Last year was the first time going through the city on this street track, which is really fun. I got a decent P3 result, but I remember the Acura seemed quite fast as I was driving behind it. Of course, I am happy to be in the Acura this year and see what we can do. We’ve had lot of preparation again from the team and I think we will be more competitive than we’ve been the last couple of races. Bring it on!”

Colin Braun: “Really looking forward to the weekend! We had a great test at Watkins Glen and I think this track will really suit our car. Tom and I had a great result in 2023 when we were right in the mix for the win, so confidence is high! Personally it’s one of my favorite tracks on the schedule. The race length is long enough to get some good pit strategy options, but short enough to be in full attack mode. I know our Acura MSR has been working super hard and we want to keep the momentum rolling from Detroit. ”
